Forsothe whanne Josue were in the feeld of the cytee of Jerycho, he rerde the eyen, and sawȝ a man aȝens hym stondyrige, and holdynge a drawen out swerd; and he wente to hym, and seith, Oure thou art, or of the aduersaries? ■Wycliffe Bible vol. 1, p. 565.
