Forsoth it was the makinge redy, or euyn, of pask, as the sixte our, or mydday. And he seith to the Jewiſ, Loo! ꝫoure kyng. ■Wycliffe Bible vol. 4, page 290.

For the time was of preparations, before Passover, as the sixth hour or midday. And he said to the Jews, Here is your king.

According to John (19:14) the sentence was not passed till about the sixth hour (noon), and consequently the execution could not be till the afternoon; but ■Mark (15:25) says expressly that he was crucified at the third hour (nine in the morning).
